Liz Welch (she/her) is the Director of Family Week at Family Equality. She has spent well over a decade advocating for gender justice and full lived equality for LGBTQ+ people at ACLU National. Her work on the LGBTQ marriage campaigns, religious exemptions around non-discrimination, and transgender justice have deepened her commitment to creating pathways for more people to live authentically.
Liz runs a successful consulting business directing some of the largest rallies at the U S Supreme Court in recent history. Her work in building community and elevating impacted voices is the common thread through her work in community theater, directing TedxTalks, grassroots activism, and professional advocacy.
Residing in Montana has given her a deep appreciation for working in hard spaces where fewer resources are available when it comes to forming families and sustaining family bonds.
Liz loves to travel, garden, read and spend time with her daughter and her 3 (obnoxious, but very sweet) dogs.
