The States of Equality film series lifts up the voices of people who need to be heard the most. Family Equality Council recognizes the power of individual stories to raise awareness and change hearts and minds about laws that create a license to discriminate against LGBTQ people, and about the everyday discrimination LGBTQ families face because of a lack of legal protections in many states. Family Equality Council seeks to illustrate the harmfulness of these discriminatory laws and practices by focusing on the impact on families and individuals in states across the country.
